Maybe the outright wackiest score I've written for Ben Young, PIG ISLAND marked our third collaboration (after GOOEY GOATS and I'LL NEVER BE LONELY AGAIN, but scored before BIT CRUSH BANDITS). While our previous scores were more synth-centric, I went all-out with colorful instrumentation for PIG ISLAND, including bagpipes, accordion, sitar, steel drums, recorder, ocarina, pipa, banjo, and more! I was really flying by the seat of my pants working on this; a true stream of bonkers consciousness. This was insanely fun to work on, as has always been true for each of Ben's delightful films.
